As a Senior Probation Officer with the Suffolk County Department of Probation, Steve has an extensive background in investigations and forensics.  After obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Criminalistics from Saint John’s University and completing his master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, he went to work for the Suffolk County Department of Probation starting then the ROR Unit, eventually moving to the Sex Offender Supervision Unit.

In addition to being a Certified Forensic Computer Examiner recognized by the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialist (IACIS) and an Accessdata Certified Examiner, he also recognized as an expert in Computer and Mobile Forensics, having given court testimony in a number of cases. Steve has been instrumental in the policy development and management of the Digital and Multimedia Forensic Lab for the Suffolk County Department of Probation – one of four such labs in the United States.  Steve is also a department instructor in general topics such as firearms safety, maintenance and qualifications and officer safety – (DCJS Approved Duly Authorized Instructor)

Steve brings his exceptional capabilities to the County Wide Group and their clients.
